Tasked with editing patterns from often new or previously unpublished designers, she's seen her share of the good and the bad, the eloquent and the obtuse. She has dug herself out of many a trench, and it is from this hard-earned experience—and perhaps in the hopes of making her own job easier in the future—that Kate wrote this book.
