April 19, 2002
April 15th was dreaded tax day here in the U.S. For many of us, myself included, this annual event represents a painful time of financial reckoning.
Normally the first thing we have to cut is that beloved yarn budget. Just typing those words makes me wince.
A New Kind of Tax Relief
I may not work for the IRS, but I do have something that might ease your burden. I've negotiated for you all to receive a special 10% discount from eKnitting.com.
Until Sunday, May 5th, order anything you want (including clearance items), enter KNITREV3592 in
the Promotion Code box when you check out, and you'll receive 10% off your total order.
Forgot to add a pair of needles? No problem -- the code can be used as many times as you'd like between now and the 5th.
Lily Speaks... Or Does She?
In her latest book, Lily Chin profiles "the most inventive, diverse, and inspiring young knitters in the country to offer their unique designs..." Or so the press release said.
Does the book live up to all the hype? I had some doubts.
In the Forums
If so many of us consider our bodies ample, fluffy, and robust, why are most knitwear patterns still written for Twiggy holdouts? And how do you customize projects to make them fit? Join the discussion.
April Prize
At the end of the month I'll pick one lucky Knitter's Review subscriber to win a $50 gift certificate from eKnitting.com! Want to win? Simply stay subscribed and you'll automatically be in the drawing.
Happy knitting, and I'll chat with you in the forums,
Sincerely,
P.S.-Do you have friends who would enjoy Knitter's Review? If so, use our simple Tell a Friend form and let them know about us.
