Knitter's Review August 16, 2002
|
Early this week something tremendously exciting happened. A new reader subscribed to Knitter's Review, marking the 10,000th person to join our virtual family.
I wanted to share this with you because I feel that each of you has played a role in making Knitter's Review successful. I cannot possibly thank you enough.
I can, however, make sure we continue to address your interests and needs. Please take a moment this week to visit our editorial suggestion box and let me know what we've done right and what we can do better.
New This Week
Many books claim to have the ultimate selection of adorable yet easy-to-knit patterns for children. How in the world are we supposed to know which ones are the best?
This week I'll help you navigate those choppy waters with reviews of two top contenders: Erika Knight's Simple Knits for Cherished Babies and Knitting for Baby, from Melanie Falick and Kristin Nicholas.
August Indulgence
Why should you learn more about Scharffen Berger chocolate? Because we're awarding a 1.5-pound box of it to one lucky subscriber at the end of this month.
But also, as I discovered this week, because the company's director of sales is also an avid knitter. Chocolate by day, knitting by night, what knitter doesn't dream of such luxury?
Retreat Ramblings
We're at 23 attendees and counting! Learn more about the first-annual Knitter's Review Weekend Retreat this November and how you, too, can join us.
Happy knitting, and I'll chat with you in the forums.
Sincerely,
P.S.-Do you have friends who would enjoy Knitter's Review? If so, use our simple Tell a Friend form and let them know about us.
