Knitter's Review
October 4, 2007
cashmere and a single shell

Remember poor Mr. Whipple in the TV commercials? No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't stop the customers from squeezing the Charmin. It was just too irresistible.

Had Mr. Whipple been charged with protecting this week's yarn, he would've been in serious trouble. The yarn is Cormo Alpaca Classic, part of the Farm Yarn Collection from Foxfire Fiber. And quite frankly, it is the most squeezable yarn I've yet to encounter.

This Weekend in New Hampshire
The fall leaves are nearing their peak here in New England, making this weekend's 24th annual New Hampshire Wool Arts Tour about as perfectly timed as you can get. The self-guided tour takes you through the beautiful back roads of New Hampshire and to open fiber farms, shops, and studios.

In the Forums: Buttons
Finding the right yarn for a project is one thing. Matching that yarn to a pattern is yet another. But when it's a cardigan, we also have to find the perfect buttons for the project. What's your favorite source for buttons?
