April 16, 2009 In just a few short weeks, the Connecticut Sheep, Wool, and Fiber Festival will kick off the summer 2009 fiber festival season. If you've never been to a fiber festival, Joanne Seiff's new book Fiber Gathering is a perfect introduction. She takes you on an armchair journey to 10 major festivals across the United States, also showing a sheep being shorn, teaching how to hand-dye a multicolored yarn, and giving the recipe for a perfect apple crisp.
