Knitter's Review
June 10, 2010 There are as many ways to knit socks as there are people to wear them. Still, a few common construction techniques prevail. We can knit socks from the top down, and we can knit them from the toe up. Each technique has its advocates. Wendy Johnson, Melissa Morgan-Oakes, and Chrissy Gardiner are all leaders in the toe-up sock world. This week I look at the most recent books from all three. This Weekend in Colorado As for me, I'm headed to Columbus this weekend for The National NeedleArts Association's semiannual fiberarts industry trade show. I'll have a full report on the new and noteworthy when I return. In the Forum: New Tricks? Need help logging into the Forums? As always, I thank you for your readership and your support. Happy knitting, and I'll see you June 24th! P.S. Do you have friends who would enjoy Knitter's Review? If so, don't hesitate to forward this email to them. Knitter's Review Poll Toe-up or top-down?
