The world's cutest colander with a dumpling of qiviut

Yarn stores are the ultimate creativity incubators. Take this week's book as a case in point.

Five friends and colleagues at a Minnesota LYS called The Yarnery decided to collaborate on a book. It quietly launched on March 30th and is called Wearwithall: Knits for Your Life.

The goal was to create a book of designs that work. Easy to customize, even easier to complete, in a collection you'll keep coming back to again and again. My question: Can any book possibly live up to such a lofty promise?

This Weekend
New Englanders, tank up the car and head up the Maine coast to the Windsor Fairgrounds for the 12th-annual Maine Fiber Frolic. More than 80 of New England's finest will be vending, including Hope Spinnery and String Theory. Meanwhile, Flagstaff, Arizona, will be busy celebrating the area's sheep ranching and fiber traditions at the Pioneer Museum, which hosts the 20th annual Flagstaff Wool Festival.

In the Forums: Why Bother?
Say you cast on for a project and immediately get that "yuck" feeling. Should you continue? That's the question Grand-Moogi asks. You might enjoy all the ways in which everybody agrees, "NO!"

Summer Schedule
As of this week, Knitter's Review is returning to its biweekly summer publishing schedule. I'll be using every other week off to finalize details for this year's Knitter's Review Retreat, write a lovely little book for you, and prepare an exciting new wool venture for fall.

As always, I thank you for your readership and your support.

Talk to you on June 14th!
