Five custom-spun yarns from Knitting Boutique

Happy New Year! I hope that this finds you warm, happy, and well, wherever you are.

Here in the Northeast we're hunkering down for yet another snowstorm—perfect conditions for burying our noses in wool. The wool in question has an interesting back-story: four different breeds, a small Pennsylvania mill, dyed by hand, and each named after an area river. Meet Boutique Yarn, a relatively new project from Maryland yarn store The Knitting Boutique.

Meet Me in Manhattan
In just a few short weeks, the New York Marriott Marquis hosts Vogue Knitting Live (January 17-19). On Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, I'm giving a talk about my yarn-making adventures with the Great White Bale. And on Saturday at 3:30pm I'm taking over the Astor Ballroom for a talk and reading from my book, The Yarn Whisperer. The reading is free for all marketplace ticket holders, and I'd love to see you there.

Heifer Holidays
You are amazing! I announced our year-end fundraising drive for Heifer International two weeks ago, and already we've raised $6,300. All goes to help lift people and communities out of poverty through the gift of livestock and education. Here's the registry if you'd like to see for yourself. Thank you!

In the Forums: Come Say Hi
Whether you just joined us over the holidays or have been a quiet lurker for years, we'd love to meet you. Won't you introduce yourself, or say hi to those who have?

As always, I thank you for letting me be a part of your knitting life.

We'll talk again on January 16th!
