Knitter's Review
March 27, 2014 When I first started out, you could only learn about knitting by reading, watching videos, or asking someone for help. In my case, my grandma. I still prefer to learn from a person, which is why I spent years traveling and teaching wherever I could. To be honest, though, being on the road for weeks at a time is hard. I've had to say "no" to far more teaching invitations than I've been able to accept. I know your busy schedule, too, has forced you to say "no" to workshops you would've loved to take. An interactive online learning platform called Craftsy changes the game. It gives us access to great teachers and compelling content from anywhere in the world, no matter what time of day, and even in our pajamas. It's different from the LYS experience, but when that's not possible, it's a fine alternative. Working closely with my producer Maria, I've created a class for Craftsy that incorporates pretty much everything I've learned about yarn thus far. We added new things I'd missed in my books. We even went so far as to set fire to yarn in the parking lot. It's called "Know Your Yarn: Choose the Perfect Yarn Every Time," and it just launched. Interested? They've let me offer my friends a discount. This link will get you $5 off the class price until April 1. Enjoy, and thank you! Beat the Blahs Coming Up As always, I thank you for letting me be a part of your knitting life. We'll talk again on April 10th! P.S. Do you have friends who would enjoy Knitter's Review?
