Handspun clouds from Persimmon Tree Farm

What do Hopalong Cassidy, Calamity Jane, Roy Rogers, and the Lone Ranger have in common? That is, besides the obvious...

They're all color names in Berroco's new spring yarn Suede, designed to look like the real thing. I took it out in the pasture to see how it rides.

Interweave Press Acquires Fiberarts
If you thought the knitting biz was exempt from mergers and acquisitions, think again. On February 9, Interweave Press completed its acquisition of Fiberarts magazine, a venerable publication begun the same month and year as Interweave launched its first magazine, Handwoven.

Fiberarts' fate had been uncertain after its parent company, Sterling Publishing Company, was suddenly acquired by Barnes and Noble last year. I look forward to watching one of my favorite magazines get even better.

February Newsletter Subscriber Giveaway
Valentine's Day is this month, which means one thing: chocolate! At the end of this month I'll pick one newsletter subscriber to receive a luxurious ballotin of Godiva chocolate. Stay subscribed and you could be picked.

As always, I thank you for your readership and your support.

Happy knitting, and I'll see you in the forums!
