Knitter's Review

Five years ago this month—with not much fanfare and a whole lot of hope—I sent out the first Knitter's Review to a few dozen people. My plan was simple. Every week, through sleet and snow and wind and rain, I'd give you interesting, honest, and helpful information.
Several hundred reviews later, our readership is nearing 26,000, and the reviews keep coming. I am eternally grateful for your readership, your feedback, your encouragement, and above all the trust you place in me.
New This Week: Machine Know-How
The day the first Knitter's Review went out, a large box was gathering dust in my attic. It contained a knitting machine I'd hastily purchased without doing my research—and subsequently repacked in its box and put in storage.
The machine was a failure not because it was a machine, but because I hadn't done my homework ahead of time when shopping for it. To keep you from making the same mistake, I've asked machine-knitting expert Eileen Bator to tell us what every handknitter should know about knitting machines.
