Knitter's Review

Last weekend I taught a class about yarn at Halcyon Yarn, a Maine fiber institution a few hours down the coast from me. It's located in a large warehouse that once housed a clothing factory. You're surrounded by yarn, everywhere you look, from floor to ceiling.

As my hostesses introduced themselves and we chatted about this and that, my eyes kept wandering to a gorgeous, fluffy cranberry-colored cardigan in the next room. I finally had to excuse myself, mid-sentence, to find out what it was. And the answer is this week's yarn review.

In the Forum: In Memoriam
We sadly note the passing of Trish, aka "azknitter," a member of our Forum family since 2004. She died suddenly last Friday after suffering a brain aneurism.

Trish was a steady presence in our community (she left us 5,539 posts, to be exact) who had a quick wit, curious mind, and a generous, welcoming spirit that shall be dearly missed. We're sharing our memories of Trish, and giving words of comfort for her husband Bob in this thread.
