Knitter's Review

Tilli Tomas Milan and my grandma's silver candle holder

Tilli Tomas has a reputation for its beaded and sequined silk yarns. But the company is more than bling. It also has several smoother base yarns for a broader range of projects.

This week I review Milan, an extraordinarily soft blend of Merino, cashmere, and silk. It's the right weight for socks, but I have serious qualms about suggesting you put this stuff on your feet.

This Weekend in Maryland
Tens of thousands of people will converge at the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship, Maryland, this weekend for the 35th annual Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. Join me on the grassy slope next to the Main Building from 2-3pm on Saturday for a Knitter's Review gathering and book-signing, with book support provided by Spirit-Trail Fiberworks. In case of rain, we'll meet at the Spirit-Trail booth in the Main Building. See you!

In the Forum: Celebrating Strengths
Sometimes it's easy to focus on our shortcomings instead of celebrating our strengths. This week we're identifying five things that we consider our knitting strengths. What are yours?
