Knitter's Review

Do you like contrasts? Are you one of those people who prefers pineapple on your pizza, or chili in your chocolate?

If so, I have a fun yarn for you to try this week. Cashmere Canapa features two completely disparate fibers—hemp and cashmere—blended in a base of cotton.

Woolalong, Anyone?
We've just begun our first woolalong of the year. The idea is simple: Each month I pick a breed from my book, The Knitter's Book of Wool, and we all play with it. We can knit anything we want, whether it's a tiny square or an elaborate shawl or anything in between. The February fiber is Cormo. Join us!

This Weekend in Michigan
On Saturday, February 6th, the fourth-annual Knit Michigan takes place in Bloomfield Hills. The volunteer-led event is dedicated to raising funds for Michigan cancer organizations through a marketplace, hands-on demonstrations of knitting, spinning, weaving, and felting, plus a raffle, door prizes, and activities for kids and teens.

As always, I thank you for your readership and your support.

Happy knitting, and I'll see you in the Forums!
Clara Parkes
